PLATING
We perform electroforming to produce high precision optical mold inserts. Electroforming is based on the electrodeposition of a Ni alloy to accurately replicate an original surface (mandrel) under a nanometer precision.
We also electroplate high phosphorus Ni-P alloy coatings, to any desirable thickness, for optical diamond machining to fabricate precision mold inserts, with an exceptional wear and corrosion resistance.
Functional thin films (sub-micron) are electrodeposited to improve both the wear and corrosion resistance of the mold inserts.
Customized electropolishing of stainless steel is used to decrease the micro-roughness of tiny features and recessed areas which cannot be manually polished.
Both electrodeposition and electropolishing processes are accurately controlled and can be optimized by using a simulation software.
